Roles and Responsibilities

As a Personal Care Assistant, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Providing mobility assistance and support during transfers or ambulation.
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding when necessary.
• Administering medications per the care plan while monitoring any side effects.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Developing and maintaining a respectful and trusting relationship with clients and their families.
• Documenting care provided on a daily basis and reporting any changes in client condition.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and update personalized care plans.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for our private PCA jobs will have the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in home health care is preferred.
• Prior experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Empathetic nature with a strong desire to help others.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are advantageous.
• Reliable transportation to travel between clients, if required.

Work Environment

You will be working primarily in clients’ homes, which may vary in environmental conditions. Flexibility is important as shifts may require evenings, weekends, and holidays.
