Job Summary
The HSE Trainer will be responsible for creating, delivering, and evaluating training programs related to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE principles, along with excellent communication and instructional skills. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on health, safety, and environmental topics aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify training needs and develop custom training material.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to ensure effective learning, including workshops, seminars, and e-learning modules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and internal policies.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through participant assessments and feedback, and make necessary adjustments to improve program quality.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees to encourage safety best practices.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in laws, and advancements in health and safety best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement safety programs and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the HSE Trainer job will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in health and safety training, preferably within a corporate setting.
- Certification in Health and Safety (such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging a diverse audience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Competency in using technology and tools for training delivery and assessment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
