Job Description

As a metal machinist, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, producing precision components that meet our high standards and those of our clients. You will be responsible for operating a range of machine tools to create metal parts, as well as performing inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate parts.
• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Conduct inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and practices.
• Document production data and communicate with supervisors regarding project status and progress.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the metal machinist role will possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is preferred.
• Proven experience as a machinist or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of machining principles and practices.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC machines is highly desirable.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
