Our camp, established over 20 years ago, is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children and teens. We offer a range of programs including arts and crafts, sports, swimming, and outdoor adventures. Our goal is to foster self-confidence, teamwork, and a love for nature in every camper.

What are CIT Camp Jobs?

As a Counselor-in-Training (CIT), you will be an integral part of our camp community. CITs work closely with our experienced counselors, helping guide groups of campers through various activities, learning essential skills while having fun. This role is designed to enhance your leadership abilities and prepare you for future positions in camp or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist counselors in planning and leading fun and educational activities.
• Help create a safe and inclusive environment for all campers.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for younger campers.
• Participate in training sessions to develop conflict resolution and teamwork skills.
• Promote a positive camp culture through enthusiasm and encouragement.

Qualifications

To be considered for a CIT camp job, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Be at least 15 years old by the start of the camp session.

Training and Orientation

All new CITs will undergo an extensive training program that covers safety protocols, communication techniques, and activity planning. Our training fosters a supportive atmosphere where you can develop the skills necessary to excel during the camp season. Orientation will take place one week before the camp starts to prepare you thoroughly.

Commitment

We ask that all CITs commit to a minimum of 4 weeks during our summer program, which usually runs from June to August. Full-day camp sessions typically run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexible hours available for half-day programs. We want everyone to gain the most from their CIT experience, and longer commitments provide deeper immersion.

Compensation

While this is a training program, CITs will receive a stipend upon completion of their commitment, as well as professional references, which are beneficial for future job applications. In addition, all staff members get free meals during camp hours and exclusive camp merchandise.
