Role Overview

As a machinist at Precision Engineering, you will be responsible for operating various types of machines and tools to produce precision parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Setting up machines and tooling for production runs.
• Conducting quality checks and inspections on finished components.
• Collaborating with engineers and other team members to improve processes and efficiency.
• Maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machinist or similar role.
• Proficient in operating CNC and manual machines.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in machining or related field.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of quality control standards.

Working Hours

This position will require flexibility as we operate on various shifts, including days and evenings. Overtime may occasionally be necessary based on production demands.
